HTC Thunderbolt Doesn’t Play Nice with Skype

Back when HTC first announced their latest Android 2.2 Froyo

 

 smartphone, the device that goes on sale today, the HTC Thunderbolt, one of the handsets main features was the ability to use Skype to make video calls.
However apparently the HTC Thunderbolt doesn’t come playing nice with Skype. According to an article over onUbergizmo

 

, Verizon commented that Skype wouldn’t be ready by the launch of the HTC Thunderbolt, and yourAndroid

 

 Thunderbolt won’t have Skype on it when you purchase the device.
However, according to the Ubergizmo article the HTC Thunderbolt

 

 may never see Skype as Droid-life is reporting that all content and web pages that mention Skype on both Verizon and HTC sites has been pulled.
Apparently the Droid-life

 

 guys have done some digging and it appears that Skype is being obliterated from all material without any explanation and stickers have apparently been sent out to cover up any references to Skype on marketing material.
So will the HTC Thunderbolt ever gain Skype 

 

support? One would hope so, but for now it’s looking like users won’t be playing nice on Skype anytime soon.
